Removal of impurities by Oxygen delignification

The purpose of bleaching is to remove the remaining dark coloured lignin impurities in the pulp to meet certain quality criteria.

Bleaching of chemical pulp is carried out in several stages. In modern mills, bleaching starts with oxygen delignification for a reduction of the consumption of more expensive bleaching chemicals and effluent load from the bleach plant.

Removal of pulp compounds by Carbon dioxide

CO2 Pulp Wash is a patent protected application introduced to the market by AGA in the beginning of the 90s. The application is presently used in more than 40 fiber lines, both unbleached and bleached kraft and sulphite lines.

Carbon dioxide added to the brown stock washers favorably impacts the removal of organic and inorganic compounds from the pulp. Depending on the specific mill situation, this can be used in pulp mills to achieve several benefits.

Dry ice cleaning solutions

During the printing process, most parts of the printing press get contaminated by all kinds of substances like dried ink, paper dust, grease, oil, coatings, varnish, etc.

The conventional cleaning methods need aggressive solvents which are toxic, hazardous, and possibly flammable. An additional problem is the long downtime.

Dry ice cleaning takes away most of those problems and gives substantial benefits to the user. The cleaning agent (dry ice pellets) is very soft like plaster, thus creates no scratches, wear or damages, even on sensitive surfaces.

When the cylinders are removed, all surfaces are accessible and can be cleaned in a fraction of the time needed before. This gives a dramatic reduction in downtime. Further savings will result from the absence of disposal costs.
